Dana Tadmor

About me and my practice

My name is Dana Tadmor. I am a qualified and established counsellor with over 20 years’ experience in supportive counselling services and group therapy.

After completing a qualification in counselling and communication in 2000 from UNISA and an advanced counselling and communication diploma from SACAP, I have worked in many well-known inpatient clinics and facilities through-out Cape Town. In addition, I have held responsibility for implementing improved ideas to enhance various treatment programmes.

In 2005 I started my private practice. Here I offered my individual counselling services, as well as lead and facilitate process groups for individuals struggling with various addiction, relationship, and life struggles. I currently run my private practice in Sea Point, Cape Town, offering supportive counselling services in a safe and comfortable space for a range of life challenges that many of us face today.

I specialise in eating disorders and process addictions through the facilitation of focussed and communicative therapy for clients seeking clarity, personal growth, emotional healing, and purpose for their lives. I also consult as a senior counsellor in an eating disorder treatment centre, Imani Treatment centre, and lecture on various subjects including addiction for the South African College of Applied Psychology.

As a counsellor I am dedicated to seeing my patients grow and heal. My approach is supportive, motivational and solution focussed. As my clients share their experiences, I strive to gently guide them to a more enjoyable, healthier, and functional lifestyle. Together we work towards implementing changes and finding a new way of life.
