About me and my practice

Fully qualified, DBS checked, insured, and offering the highest levels of privacy, I have over 20 years’ experience supporting people to overcome issues surrounding their own (or someone else’s) problem alcohol & drug use and addiction. Sessions are available flexibly to suit your schedule, and can be tailored to individuals, couples, families, or all three. Sessions can be conducted face to face, over the phone or online. The focus of sessions will always be to create positive change, build hope, confidence, and try new ways of doing thing, even when the situation appears hopeless.


  • Postgraduate Certificate Alcohol & Drug Counselling. Leicester University.
  • Postgraduate Diploma (Merit) Clinical Studies (Addiction). Leicester University.
  • MSc (Distinction) Children, Young People, and Family Wellbeing Psychology and Social Work. Oxford Brookes University.
  • Trained and experienced in Multisystemic Therapy including 6 years as a Clinical Supervisor.

Outline of offer and experience

My focus will always be to support you in overcoming the issues you want resolving and to help you to reach and maintain your goals. I know that substance use and addiction can change people, and can cause many other problems (e.g., health, work, relationships) and I offer an understanding, empathetic, confidential service.

Change focussed, I am here to support you to move forward confidently. I have many years’ experience in delivering therapies with the best evidence for success (MI, SFT, RBT, CM) and have a broad range of experience in 1:1, couples work and family work and resolving some of the more complex problems which can underpin addictive behaviours (trauma, anxiety, cravings etc).
