About me and my practice

I currently work within an Addictions Treatment Rehabilitation centre. I am a qualified Addictions Counsellor and Relationship Counsellor. I work at the treatment centre as an Addictions Family Counsellor supporting family members whos loved ones are receiving treatment for substance misues. During my working day I will facilitate Group Therapy, Provide lectures on Addiction, Facilitate family meetings, Provide one to one Counselling, Family support meetings and work with Family Genograms. I have a strong belief in the 12-step fellowship for recovery from Addiction while also keeping up with current research and development within the treatment field of Addiction. My way of working is integrative, supported by a person centred approach, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Over the years I have qualified in Relationship Counselling and completed many other courses around working with Families and couples. My passion is supporting people who want change.
