About me and my practice

I work in private practice as an Integrative Counsellor. My area of special interest in helping those with alcohol related problems or dependence. I also offer counselling for a range of other mental health problems, including anxiety, low self esteem, and psychological abuse.

I have worked as a nurse and Health Visitor for several years, and later in the prison service as a nurse in the Drug Treatment Service. I also worked as an Alcohol Liaison Clinical Nurse Specialist in a General Hospital, based in the Emergency Department. I periodically gave lectures to nursing students on the psychological and physical effects of alcohol misuse, and continue to offer brief introductory presentations in a range of more common mental health problems. Latterly, I was employed as an integrative counsellor for an Employee Assistance Provider providing a range of counselling services.
